I'M ALL OVER THE ROAD WITH THE COIL SPRING SETUP.
I BOUGHT A STEERING STABILIZER BUT THAT DIDN'T HELP MUCH. WHEN THE WINDS GET HEAVY I'M SWERVING AT 50 MPH.
I USED TO HAVE A YJ WITH A 4INCH SKYJACKER LEAF SPRING SUSPENSION SYSTEM. IT WAS A SMOOTH RIDE. I FEEL EVERY LITTLE BUMP WITH THE PROCOMP SYSTEM ON MY TJ.
HOW IS SKYJACKER SUSPENSION LIFT ON THE TJ? WHAT SETUP DO OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THAT WORK WELL FOR EVERYDAY DRIVING? |

| First I would get your alignment checked. B-Line in Elgin is a good alignment shop. You indicated the ride is harsh, possibly too stiff of a shock. In your other post you said you have a 4" lift, have the track bars been lowered? You also mantioned you drove this TJ from WA to IL, was the ride and steering this bad for that whole trip, or has it suddenly gotten worse? I have not had any vehicle with procomp suspension, so I can't comment on their product. |

The alignment is straight. The jeep has been aligned every other month since its lifetime according to the previous owner. It's the heavy winds and ruts in the pavement that get me into trouble.
The track bar has been removed. I took the track bar off of my previous jeep (YJ) when I installed the skyjacker lift with a friend. He said I didn't need it and it drove fine. When I bought the TJ over the summer, the previous owner handed me the track bar and said you really don't need this but take it in case you want to sell it. hahaha.
Thanks for your input but procomp still sucks... |

On the road, coil springs REQUIRE a track bar. Are you sure it's been removed? What's holding the suspension under the body?!? _________________ Jeff Brenton

| Something isn't adding up here. No track bar on a TJ with the stock style suspension. What then is keeping your axles located laterally relative to the frame? Previous owner having the front end aligned every other month. This would scream WHY? to me. What is so fubar that it needs to get an alignment so often? I am thinking your problems have less to do with Procomp's parts but rather the poor job of installing them and proper maintenance. |

| man you have to have your track bars on. if you dont your axles will "wander" with every lil bump and wind. my bushing was bad on mine and only had 1/2 of play in it and i had a tough time driving it like that i cant imagine not having a track bar at all. find yourself and adjustable track bar for the front and a couple companies make a relocation bracket for the rear. zoneoffroad products has them and teraflex i know for sure |
